Benefit from our experience...
Where innovation flows
Research and testing are crucial for the successful development and production of new technologies and products.
Ontario's air pollution prevention and control industry has earned a reputation for top quality, innovative solutions. This is in part, thanks to the province's exceptional R&D advantage, which includes leading minds, world-class research centres that collaborate with industry - and one of the best R&D tax credit incentives to be found anywhere.
Focussed on service
Ontario is home to some of the world's most respected engineering, technical and business schools, which produce a steady stream of highly skilled and talented professionals, who also understand the importance of developing and cultivating business relationships.
Ontario environmental companies make it their business to listen carefully to clients, understand their needs, and work closely with them on site, often in their own language, to deliver the best solutions possible.
Whatever your requirement, you'll find an Ontario air pollution prevention and control company that can fulfill it.

Innovation in the air at RWDI
For RWDI success is literally in the air. The Guelph, Ontario-based firm is the leading wind engineering, microclimate and environmental consulting service in the world with 350 engineers and scientists at offices in Canada, the U.S., the U.K., India and the UAE. RWDI AIR, one of its group of companies, specializes in resolving air quality, noise and vibration, and hazard and risk issues for a wide range of industrial, commercial and government clients worldwide.
How has it become so successful? "It's a combination of our technical expertise and the innovative ways we apply it, the high quality of our service and our appreciation of the cultures in which we're working," says Mark Vanderheyden, Vice President of RWDI Group. "We hire the best and brightest right out of our own universities, then we train them on the job to become even better technically and to listen carefully to clients, be consultative and mindful of different cultures and ways of doing things."
Biorem Technologies sniffs out business around the globe
Like all great ideas, Biorem Technologies' biofilter is brilliantly simple. It removes the offensive smell at industrial and municipal sites by cultivating organisms like bacteria and fungi that feed on odour-generating compounds. "It's truly innovative," says Brian Herner, Biorem's senior corporate advisor - and a growing number of municipalities from South Africa to the Middle East, North America to China agree.
And Biorem is continually improving its product, pushing the technology to the limits. That's a big reason why the Guelph, Ontario-based company has been so successful, says Herner, who also credits Ontario's culture of innovation and the province's human resources as key factors. "We're fortunate to be able to hire exceptional talent coming out of our engineering schools and the cultural diversity of the talent is also an important attribute, particularly in foreign markets." What's next for Biorem?
"We're moving aggressively into the VOC emission market," says Herner.
Industries worldwide beat a path to TurboSonic's door
Cleaning the air is big business for TurboSonic. The Waterloo, Ontario-based company is a world leader in the design and supply of air pollution control systems for a blue-chip list of clients in the cement, mineral processing, mining, power generation, biofuels, pulp and paper, and waste incineration industries. With hundreds of installations worldwide, TurboSonic's business is growing rapidly. "We've developed - and continue to develop - proprietary technologies and we've purchased others through strategic acquisitions," explains TurboSonic CEO Ed Spink.
"What sets us apart from the competition are our solutions, which are innovative and tailored to meet the needs of individual clients, and our service that includes client training and follow-up." Building on its reputation and 30 years of research, development and industry use, TurboSonic is continuing to expand its presence in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. "It all comes down to our staff, for the most part, graduates of Ontario universities and colleges, who are a talented group of engineers, technicians and salespeople."
