The United States is, by far, Ontario's largest trading partner, and Ontario exports more to California than it does to any of its international markets beyond the United States. California is the second-largest export destination within the U.S. It accounts for about 6% of Ontario's two-way trade. Over all, the U.S. accounts for about 75% of Ontario's total trade. The U.S. also accounts for 65% of foreign capital investment in Ontario.
